Disclaimer

If you think there is something wrong regarding your baby’s immediate health that is MEDICAL in nature (rather than just a breastfeeding issue), such as baby appearing underweight, lethargic, not breathing properly, forceful vomiting, lack of wet or soiled diapers, jaundice that is getting worse, or you just have the sense that something is wrong, go to a doctor or hospital emergency department or call 9-1-1 NOW! Do not wait. Once the acute medical issue is resolved, your breastfeeding concerns can be addressed.

If you have an urgent BREASTFEEDING concern, contact an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, who can help you solve your breastfeeding challenges and in some cases, will dialogue with other health professionals you might be seeing, such as a nurse, midwife, or your doctor, to let them know what was addressed and what they advised, so that the other professionals can provide seamless care for you and your baby along with the help offered by your breastfeeding specialist.
